in the swan was a big notice saying that they're closing for refurbishments!!! they're closed now until november for "major refurbishments"!!! i hope its not gonna change too much. its a listed building so they cant do anything too drastic anyway. the swan is temporarily moving to the upstairs bar in the pilgrim for the time being.
after the swan me and kayte went to lexys brother Gaz's house and sat off there whilst we waited for lexy to come home from work. we then went next door, ordered take away and waited for it to come. i had sweet and sour chicken and duck with pancakes and it was lovely. then joolia and wally came over and we drank lots of beer and watched 2 videos. first we watched RAT RACE which had seth green, john cleese, whoopi goldberg, rowan atkinson and others in it. it was a very very funny if slightly cringeworthy film. i'd definitley recommend it.
after that we watched THE OTHERS which is a very very good film. its not so much that its scary but its very very tense and dramatic all the way through. the over all verdict from us all was "THAT IS ONE FUCKED UP FILM!!!" i'd definielty recommend that too!! after that we sat round and drank some more before going to bed at about 2am.
this morning we all had crumpets for breakfast which were yummy!! then me and kayte headed into town. we went to exchange my top but the bloody shop was closed!!! how annoying!! after that we went to sayers and got bacon butties whch were very tasty, then we both went home. all in all i had a pleasant weekend!
got an interview tomorrow morning for a data entry type position, so everyone keep your fingers and any other parts of your anatomy crossed for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
