had a fairly uneventful weekend.... went to robs on friday after work.. chilled... on saturday we met some of his friends from school in town and had a couple of drinks with them in Blue bar in the albert dock...pleasant enough but not exactly exciting.... and then in the evening we went over to see karina and had pizza and beer and watched tv... just a ncie chilled weekend... needed that to wind down after xmas and new year... dont think my liver or the rest of my body will have survived if i'd had a mad weekend.

my mum is suppposed to be going into hospital today to have an aeortic (heart) valve replaced,... but she has a cold and and temperature so they're prolly not gonna do it.... i havent had a cold really this winter so far *touch wood* which is unusual for me....

i'm only in work for 3 days this week.. i'm off tomorrow, friday. saturday and sunday... i'm off the weekend as extra.. these are lieu days which we're allowed as our days off fell on xmas day and boxing day.. but even the people whose days were not then had them off, so we get 2 extra.. if you get what i mean.... its kinda cool not having to work all week as i'm on the early shift for this week and next week... the shift pattern should hopfully be changing at the beginning of february... we all had a choice of different rotas.. i chose one where you do longer shifts.. like 10 hours or so... but you get more days off.. basically 4 days on and 4 days off.... which would be so much better!!! actually get time to do stuff and rest and stuff like that :o) what a novelty!!!
