god some people are pathetic. they think that if someone doesnt like the way they are then its tough shit. well what these sort of people dont realise is that if you shit on their mates then they get pissed off, if you do it several times then they get severely pissed off and maybe they dont wanna speak to you at all!! sometimes you can go so far that people dont even want to bother talking and telling you what they think cos you're a lost cause and not worth the effort. its sad but its all your own fault. you've made your bed so go lie in it.

Microsoft has claimed victory over the Blaster virus - but has warned of more problems if users do not act to fix a hole in its software.

The virus is believed to have been written by computer hackers with a grudge against Microsoft and has so far affected an estimated 300,000 PCs worldwide.

Unlike previous viruses, which arrived as an email attachment, the Blaster 'worm' tunnels in undetected via an internet connection. It was designed to launch an attack at midnight local time.

Once inside, it slows down processing speed, reducing email traffic to a crawl and causing the machine to crash. It does not appear to delete files or cause major lasting damage, however.

The virus includes a taunt against the Microsoft chairman: "Billy Gates why do you make this possible? Stop making money and fix your software!!."

After weeks battling it in the US, and now in the UK, Microsoft announced last night that it had side-stepped any lingering threat posed by the worm by taking the targeted web page offline.

A spokesman said: "We have been though a number of time zones now with no problems and we do not expect any as the deadline passes in the UK or US."

Although the threat from MS Blaster seemed to have been dealt with, Microsoft urged users to make sure the security flaw was fixed by downloading a patch programme from their update site.

"We want to make sure that everyone has the patch," said the spokesman. "We are aware of three variants of this virus, but we have had 40 million downloads of the patch now and it seems able to deal with them all."
