saw Kill Bill last night, what an amazing film!!!
not a pulp fiction or reservoir dogs etc clone at all, far from it. still elements of the classic tarantino formula, but with some brand new magic as well. from the trailers i was concerned that it looked like a charlies angels remake just with more blood and guts but it wasnt even remotely like that.
classic fight scenes, breathtaking swordplay, an excellent script, brilliant animation segments, excellent cinematography, some great acting and a total absorbing plot, with the meanest cliffhanger ending ever!!!
i cant wait till part 2 comes out!!!!!!!
i saw it in FACT, which is just brilliant!! (and next door to the swan, which cant be bad!!) its normal cinema price, not full of scalls, not completely packed, has big comfy reclining seats with lots of leg room, and a massive cinema with a huge screen!!! i am so going there again!!
went to skippybirds on thursday and saw the lovely Izzy kitty. shes so big and healthy now!! and her fur is lovely and thick and soft. shes such a cutie :o) shes gonna be such a lovely cat when she grows up!
went to see Secondnature at the Barfly on tuesday. Was well pissed off cos i couldnt take any pics cos my digi cam is dead, but theres a swanky new one on the way from Ebay, and its a seriously flashy one :o)
Met most people in the pub Skippy, Laydee K, Our Neo and his beautiful lady Joey, Mini Mike and Mark. After a few pints we went over to the Barfly.
Two very important people were missing tho, Joolia and Jon. We all love you both and miss you and hope to see you out again soon *hugs to both*.
the boys played really well and they were well received. i like the barfly as a venue, its nice and big, has a good size stage and the beers not too expensive. went straight home after the gig cos i had work in the morning :o(
not much gossip to tell i dont think.... i'm getting braids again next month, not sure what colour yet....... er...... cant think of anything much else........
oh yeah, got contacts fitted and stuff last week... its damn tricky getting them in but i'm managing it with lots of perseverance. i keep dropping them on the floor as well, which is just damn annoying. but things are getting better. i have to go back to the opticians on friday for a last consultation and to see if i definitley want them, which i will, and then i'll be cool.
i've got the daily disposable ones cos the solutions and things would just confuse me at 6am and i'd end yup burning my eyes with acid type stuff!!! bugger that! these ones are easier, just get em out the packet and put em in, and then at night take em out and throw them away!!!!! its so weird with them in, like your whole range of vision is permanently in focus, i keep reading every sign in the distance, just cos i can!!!! its bizarre. i know the novelty will soon wear off tho!
