had a fun night last night. met lexy after she finished work at forbidden planet and then we wandered down to burger king for our tea. we stayed there until phil finished work and then went up to the cambridge pub by the uni. laydee k and lyndsey also joined us. we played on the hangman game, sooooooo addictive, and out some tunes on the jukebox, which has a really really good selection of stuff.

after that we went to the caledonian pub on catherine street, the one that used to have the washing machines in it. a couple of phils mates and mr snarlie joined us there. we had a good laugh re-writing the beer mates, they were adverts for a mercedes van saying "does your van have a drink problem". this was changed to various other slogans, all very amusing.

after that we went over to the blackburn arms which is just a bit further up catherine street. they had a karaoke night on there that phil and his mates often go to. phil went up after a short while, and sang Dizzy, which was amazing. his mates sang various comedy numbers. Lexy and phils mate Ian sang Nelly The Elephant, which ruled. me and lee were considering getting up to sing but we were nowhere near drunk enough! phil also sang Dignity by deacon blue, and Loveshack, both of which were brilliant!!

whilst i was out my mum told me that alexy had won fame academy. she was obviously gonna win but i'm chuffed cos she was the only one with a hint of originality. i'll be interested to see what her first single is like :o)
